Post custom hacks and enhancements for phpwcms here only. Maybe some of these things will be included in official release later.

3. edit fckconfig.js
Line 29 - FCKConfig.BaseHref = 'http://localhost' ;
set your Domain in here like 'http://www.yourdomain.tld' or 'http://www.yourdomain.tld/yourpath'

@UHAG
irgendwas stimmt bei deinen Pfadangaben nicht - evtl. kannst du mir mal deine FTP-Zugangsdaten und einen Zugang zum phpWCMS mailen - dann schau ich

@Pauli
sorry - but this is our Language - if you have any Problem so just ask and you will get a answer. I almost answer in the Language of the Question
;) German or English only - other Languages are not supported by me ;)

What kind off amateur Forum setup this is! You started the topic in both languages, most German speaking people simply answer German though. Most don't even botter thinking internationally. Just plain lazy. I mean come on, if you are into this (php etc.) you know English.
You just can't have a topic in two languages, that's asking for trouble.

I know this is completely waste of time, because most German answering people ignore my reaction anyway, and that's pretty sad.

You should see this behaviour as a BIG disadvantage of phpwcms.
Perhaps it's time for a new English only Forum, as it should be...

Hi Pauli,

calm down :roll: ! I am of the same opinion as pico. It depends on what language the forum entry has started. When the entry has been written in both languages, I TRY to continue also in both languages (german and english). But if the thread has already been started in one of the two languages, it does not make sense for me to translate it in the other language. What sense does it make for you when I continue a german started thread in english? When you cannot read the initial question in german, you don't know the reason of this thread, doesn't you?

And I don't start to translate first the initial question into the other language... :wink:

We can only please the people to start a thread in english AND in german, but not all can both languages... :cry:

Think positive, not destructive!!

Like I said above, I know I'll loose any discussion about this. It just prooves the short minded attitude of some German speaking here.
Sure it does make sense to talk only English, don't you get it? People who are starting using phpwcms want to learn from every post other people make in forums like this. So they are interested in every post.
Especially in this stage when a lot is happening with the new versions. You have to keep by, every post, every problem is important. Because of the lack of documentation of new features and important changes, this forum is very important. But with so much German posts and mixed up languages, you're creating chaos.

And what is more important, you're underestimating the amateur impression people get when browsing and reading through this forum, when looking for a good CMS. You just can't allow 2 languages in the forum of an international CMS! There are plenty ways of setting things up, but not this way of course. Every logical human being can see that.

This topic is just another example what you get when you allow 2 languages on 1 forum in the first place. Wake up en be honoust. Why should German speaking people botter speaking English if they get their answers in German anyway? That's what I mean with lazyness. Look around, it's happening over and over again.

Anyway, let's me stop the discussion here, it's really no use, I know. What a waste :(

Hi Pauli,

we should concentrate on the two main languages. What is the sense of starting a thread for example in Greek or Russian? Almost nobody would bring an answer, because only a few people are able to know these languages. In English and German users will get almost ever an answer... :wink:

I think, two languages are enough.

Just my 2 cents...
