@Dexxus: in general...

:D but seems you (no specific person meant) are not very creative finding a better name...

Creative is in the eye of the beholder.
You'll likely not find a new name this way...

...this CMS doesn't have enough active users to overcome the vagueness and be able to push it from two or three grains of sand into a heap (sand caastle).
Life's a beach!

Hehe Oli, sounds like a polish (Putzmittel in German).

There was one in the GDR - 3xW from Wittol ;-)

guys - my 5 cents
i totally agree for the new name.

the name has to be
- cool and possibly short (calling it KOBRAMEPGGHFFS would make it even worse)
- without cliches like "design, code, php, cms" and stuff like that; they are a definitive turn off and anonymizer. A name has to be a name: my father has called me fulvio, not "thefatguythatmakessitesandrecordswetware" :)
- for perfect branding, it shouldn't mean anything in no language (negative examples: citroen NOVA, which in spanish is NO VA, doesn't works, or the danish mineral water PSCHITT... bad name to ask on an international table - "bring me some fresh pschitt!")

you might even say: why don't you give it a try?
i'm still thinking of it - but i'm thinking about the 5 chars consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant scheme, which is told to bring luck to industries. One example? The eastman industries, which rose to a pretty new level when changing their name into KODAK.... might have heard that name....

(curiously - another example... LENIN... same principle, different purpose)

let's try harder, guys.. :)

Good argumentation Fulvio 8)

Then... let's maybe use such tools as random name generators:
01. http://www.xtra-rant.com/gennames
02. http://www.rinkworks.com/namegen
03. http://www.dwheeler.com/totro.html (seems a good one)
etc. ...

02. http://www.rinkworks.com/namegen
Output Example:
  • Tonard
    Ouste
    Delsay
    Nyat
    Geull
    Pheust
    Cerunuz
    Awine
    Ara
    Fafit
    Denler
    Morurn
    Besis
    Nycyl
    Equeu
    Tarld
    Vorm
    Enthsay
    Rillye
    Duath
    Kald
    Omorm
    Nelot
    Tanskelo
    Omwar
Cheers,

Yves

Please!!! Don't post such waste of useless words! And please no slogan at the moment.

Think twice before posting one of your famous and recommend new names but not random lists of words.

Also - don't use well known person's names like Mendelssohn.

Then... this thread seem to me to be more like a big waste of time anyhow.
Let's focus on the meat instead... the long awaited new features.

Cheers,

Yves

@Yves, maybe. But without testing I wouldn't know.

As I have seen "Democracy" here - sorry - it really seems to be wasted time.

Please stop posting new words - makes no sense in this form. I will let topic open for a while...

Thanks for everybody's try to find a new name.
