Hi stemmen,

I just took a deeper look for the domain... There are problems with the DNS Server itself, with my pingplotter I am not able to resolve it. BTW. First domain with this prob at all ... looks like a 'nooneisallowedanything firewall config'

It just says: Destination unreachable.... looks like handbrew network :D

Code: Select all

My ISP says it is because they are running Safe Mode ON, which I do not understand. All my other wcms-sites are runnings on the same ISP's server without problems and when installing 1.3.0 it "says" that Safe Mode is OFF.

However, my ISP says it is ON - what do I do now? How do I configure?

I just installed the cms on a another domain to test it, but the problem is the same:

http://www.jantheman.dk/cms/login.php

Everything went well during setup so I just do not understand the problem

Just for the hell of it, I installed 1.3.0. on another domain.

http://jlhdesign.dk/login.php

Still no change - did everything right

PS. Older versions 1.2.6 or 1.2.8 can be installed without ANY problems...

My FTP-programme changes letter size when transfering files (e.g. FCKeditor2 becomes fckeditor2). Does this cause a problem?

And what is this prepend name table or fix? Should I wing it or not?

This IS a fundamental problem!!! You should have to start over and upload all files again, but fix FTP-problems first.

prepend name can be left clear '' as is.
useful, if you have some more server apps using the same database. so this issue is rather just for 'orientation' when browsing database.
or in that cases, when you have multiple installations of phpwcms running on one host.

Thanks - I think that lowercasing the letters may be the problem. I just installed older versions with the same problem.

I will try another FTP-programme

(e.g. FCKeditor2 becomes fckeditor2......
That is right. In V1.30 the name bccomes lower case.

The most Unix/Linux installations are working in case sensitiv mode.

Hmmm - actually it helped when I changed FTP-Client. Now everything looks exactly like the files downloaded for SourceForge (e.g. ConvertCharset is now ConvertCharset and not convertcharset).

I am in.... Weeeee

Oh no, only the path and file names around the fck editor was changed.

Upload ALL files of the distribution 'as is' --> WITHOUT ANY conversation, changes of line feeds, character set and so on!!!

ALL files need to be EXACTLY the same on remote as on your local directory!!
NO CHANGES ANYWHERE!!!!!

As flip-flop mentioned, on unix systems ALL files are CASE SEnSiTivE!!

Dear Flip-Flop, Jensensen etc.

I did exactly that. Now everything looks like in the local directory. I do not know why my preferred FTP-client (Total Commander) converted the letters and did not consider Case SenSitiviTy.

I used a different FTP-client. All is OK. I hope this also helps Kens who started the threat and others who may have same problems. I think we covered it all.

To everyone - thanks for your tips, help and time...

Anyone else having this problem still?

I upload files using secure shell, so i don't have a problem with letters being capitalized or going to lower case.

I tried installing 1.3.0 and 1.2.9 but I get a blank page with the login.php page.

I installed 1.2.6 and it worked the first time.

Tried 1.3.0 again just the way I did with 1.2.6 and no luck.
