I will support them in creating contents.
Every of the administrators got a training by me.

And if something is very unsimilar(?) to the maindesign, i will tell it to them...

excuse my bad english ;)))
But THX for your optinion. Yes a real footer does not exist.
But i think i won't change any thing of the maindesign (including the footer)

The Customer is happy and it looks very very very very much better as the old page ... you can view it with out /page in adressline :)

And what about the users who have a 1024x786 screen and resize their browser window to 800 x 600? Like me  I have mostly opened my opera panel sidebar, so the browser window is apr. 820 x 610.
Why not making a floating design which fits to all window sizes?

Variable width websites

Post by Ben »

Because variable width websites do not allow for predictable placement of content. My computer runs at 1600 x 1200 - trying to read a line of text that stretches this width is not good and usually degrades the visual appeal of the website. I stand behind my remarks on page 1 of this thread.

This is simply my design opinion, though :D

Cause might not be very nice at some resolutions. Just make the blasted thing work 100% well with 800x600 and everyone will be happy.
