1) Backup files and database
2) this has to be done manually at the moment: use setup/phpwcms_init.sql and compare against your install by using phpMyAdmin - change/add neccessary new fields and tables
3) copy new install files
4) start: setup/upgrade.php and check top section of the page - patch your db by resulting sql queries
5) move your old conf files from include/inc_conf to config/phpwcms and enhance your conf.inc.php - check default conf.inc.php - there is a new setting for caching.

Normally that's all.
