please guys calm down both
each one here makes his sites the way he likes, before his knowledge and tastes
remember we all are here for the same goal - making stuff as beautiful as we are able to, and grow as a community, not to judge anyone's work or words

anyway jan, i like your site
just my useless 5 cents :)

FeelX....pSouper didn't jump on you (as you just did), just gave critics(?) on your opinion and not on your designs(that we even haven't seen).

And if you write like this:
my personal style is not to hit everybody with my portfolio or to run to each gfx-competion on the web ... but trust me i know from what i'm talk

i'm new here on wcms but i think during the time my work talk 4 itself ... (<- this is the way i like more then big advertising or shouting)
you have to stand up tall!! DO expect someone to react on that!

I personally thought you were drunk when you wrote it. :wink:

Greetings from Martin

Ok guys, how do i get out of this pickle now...
@fulv & feelx - sorry dude, I was rude.
@feelx
honestly I have no wish to offend anyone and do understand you points
Hi Feelx,
I was not having a bad day as suggested but I do stand by my view concealing the critique of others work. I regard posting ones site in this forum not opening it up for critique, rather allowing others to see the possibilities of phpwcms. However I did read Feelx's post as rather patronizing to a site rather than the helpful hints that I understand the post to have been intended. and if I offended, as I appear to have done I am sorry. I would like to hope that if a critique could possibly offend then it may be put to better use in a private message with the due care taken to explain you reasoning behind each of your points and advice on how you may achieve these. a public post however well meaning can cause embarrassment or a destruction of confidence that is of help to no one (not to you though Jan).

I do think you have done a very good job on restyling your bb Feelx and not doubt your ability nor experience, merely asking you to concider that your choices are not necessarily my choices and visa versa and that this does not make for a bad design. As I have said in my original post.. I understand your points and do not disagree with many of them; I do however think that these points alone should not be the entirety of a critique.

I will let your critique of my site slide as I don't profess to be anything other than a games artist. your opinion on the validity of 'games art' falls outside my concerns.

[note to self: stay out of potential messy situations unless invited you nosey man. :roll: ]

@Fulv: 5cents, sheesh the exchange rate is poor these days - i remember when 2cents was good enough :D

Hallo Jan212,

schickes Design.
Vielen Dank :)

Cheers,
Florian
