ooh and the code above as shown is exactly how it is in the main block in admin->templates.
So i dont get it where that table comes from. Does it have to do with configs in admin-> page layout??

But your code shows

Code: Select all

...
</head>
<body>
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" summary="">
<tr>
<td valign="top"></td>
<td valign="top"><div class="margin" id="top">
See that table?

perhaps you could try the following:
create a completely new page layout like you have done before, then a new template and put into it all your code in Main Block, check the style shet as marked, then apply your new template to your structure levels and watch what will happen then...
Only a guess...

You should also see that every div has class="margin". And this is what is lookes like:
.margin {
margin-left:auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
...
there's no need to have ONE class .margin with every div!? [usually] but could be a good idea to have them orienting all the same way.

in your case,
as mentioned above:

you are only ONE step away to succeed:

if the table remain you will just have to add:

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" summary="" align="center">

btw
.margin
to use less bytes the better notation would be

.margin {
margin: 0 auto;
}

always check html source --> output, try to understand what, where, why (--> maybe there are ---> templates involved/included)

adjust CSS as supposed to get your DIV#s what YOU want them to do :wink:

You are totally right jen jensen, but if you go take a look at test.rwdweb.nl you see what i mean. my xhtml isn't bad. The samlpe layout is parsed as it should be in test.rwdweb.nl, I am just wondering where that table just came from. And I have been adjusting the div margin too see what happens, answer is nothing. ooh and margi: 0 (auto) , you are right about that. It was this first. but when i went playing with margin to see if anything happens, nothing did, forgot to change it back.
By the way, where do you come from jenjensen. I suppose you are from Noord-brabant, NL?
I am from NL.

definitely not ---> but my avatar here on the board :wink:

do you know --> firebug??
it's a tool for web developers using --> firefox and it's free.

so, by editing your code in the (actual) browser window:

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" summary="" align="center">

everything is ok.

I'll have a try... thanks.
well, so far i preferred pb at room temperature with white bread [the best],
only sometimes! [because of the enormous amount of fat] with really! cold and thin! slices of [salted] butter beneath.

gorgeous

when celebrating this kind of enjoyment some of the last portions may have strawberry jam or raspberry on top.
nutella kommt auch gut --> snickers effekt

i guess it's due to an incompatibility/conflict of TEMPLATE WIZZARD with v1.3.3

--> some code elements remain in the page code [and can't be deleted] although the template was disabled....

--> solution: clean install

PS: some guys, as "Theo Huxtable" in 'The [bill] Cosby Show' for example, prefer peanut butter with liverwurst :shock:
