Turn Site Off

Something that may or may not be helpful to some users is the ability to turn the site off - so that during development or problems the site displays a fixed template...

Haven't worked on that

yet.

But it's simple: create new index.php and fill in your site offline code. Then rename old index.php and put offline index.php to the same place via FTP.

thanks for the reply - i know this is one way around it - but an on off option would still be nice
