phpwcms is working but have a question

I am looking for the ability to do this with phpwcms:

We have multiple vendors like microsoft, novell, ibm, and cisco - there marketers have the ability to login to the site and review there vendor items we have the problem is that the usernames are not dependent on content so if ibm logs in they can see all the competing vendors - obviously a problem.

I need a way for them to see the articles or content that there username allows them too see.. Is this possible? I see under admin the ability to add users but all it says is users of the frontend or backend or both.

But not individual information. Please help!
