Firefox and latest release of phpwcms

Post by niels_j »

Hi

Today I installed the latest release of phpwcms on a clean system. As usual my testpage showed up right in InternetExplorer but looked awfull in several versions of Firefox!

My solution to the problem was to remove this string --- "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd" --- from many files. (grep is your friend :-)

Changing settings in conf.inc.php does not fix the problem!

hi,
to removing all dtd expressions from your pages wasn't a good idea.

use html standards, validators and/or CSS
and your pages are fine with almost all modern browsers...

for phpwcms there are many examples online:

think about that fortunately  there are few more browsers used on different os platforms
not only IE  on win
