Make your menu a list!

Post custom hacks and enhancements for phpwcms here only. Maybe some of these things will be included in official release later.

Make your menu a list!

Post by ionrock »

Hello All,
I have been very busy with work and school to spend every waking hour on this message board and for that I do apologize b/c it really has looked like the posting fued between frold and psouper is plain old insane. But to make up for things I posted a hack on my website for making your menu out of a list instead of using the tables. It is a new replacement tag and it works just like the usual {NAV_TABLE_COLUMN} as far as displaying sub menu structure items (this is how it is different from {NAV_TABLE_SIMPLE}). It doesn't take any parameters b/c it is meant ot be a replacement for the NAV_TABLE_COLUMN. It was created to make menus more customizable (like things on listamatic, alistapart, etc). Enjoy!

It does nest the lists. You can see an example on my site when you click the phpwcms development link. The list menu is at the bottom of the page. :)

Hey ionrock!

For what I see, this looks great (I do believe in W3C/XHTML ;)) and I am eagerly looking forward to try it out!

Thank you very much for this!
