Undo "Create thumbnail clockwise"

When I upload a pic I can create a thumbnail. I can rotate it clockwise or counter clockwise. But when I afterwards decide that I don't want to rotate the picture, there is no way to make the thumbnail in it's original unrotated view. So I can not undo the thumbnail rotation.

Or can I?

In edit mode click "create thumbnail"

This function never touchs the original uploaded file.
