Back End Keeps Kicking Me Out

Post by Infect The System »

Hi All,

So this goes way beyond the having to login 2 times problem that many people have.

Some i will have to login 5 times before i actually enter the backend, and then sometimes after 2 minutes i'll get kicked out. And then other times i won't be kicked out for hours.

But i get kicked more often than i don't.

I've searched the forums and couldnt find anyone who had this big of a problem with the login page.

Anyone have any advice for me? My client isin't going to be too pleased with that.

I'm using 1.2.6, php 4.4.2, and i believe mySql 5 (not too sure about that, my web host is in the middle of converting from 4 to 5 and everything is all 50/50 right now).

I use wcms on other sites on the same host and they work fine. Well, they still have the double login bug, but its not like this problem.

HELP!

Have you uncommented that? You should not have to do that.

Yes, i did comment that out.

But this problem was around before i did that. And i had the same problem with 1.2.5 DEV as well. But only with this clients hosting account.

I have used 1.2.5 DEV on a few other sites hosted with the same servers and never gotten this issue. I'm starting to think that i might have to do with my host using SQL 5 rather than 4. All the other sites i run 1.2.5 DEV on are SQL 4 systems. But my host is switching over to mainly SQL 5.

And commenting that out was the only way i could get the blog to work correctly.

Oh Dex, my little internet guardian angel, what shall i do?

LOL. :)

I don't know what to suggest. I can tell you that MANY (including ME) have run those prior versions with MySQL 5.x and had no such problems, though.
