I know you are still waiting for the new release. But to tell you why you have to wait here are some things I'm working on at the moment. And there are more... (again sorry for my English - seems I neded a stay somewhere outside Germany
)The so called "roadmap" for 1.3. The coming 1.2.7 will include every bold point:
- make everything charset safe - default will be UTF-8
- better install and upgrade script
- handle configuration inside phpwcms
- superuser account
- update FCKeditor
- new asset handling (images, files and so on)
- user defined content parts
- handling of
- enable optimal caching
- updated search
- translations db based
- content parts separated into extensions
- remove chat
- include forum
- option to use captcha also for newsletter subscriptions or ecards
- asset browser for the system and WYSIWYG editor
- changing the way resized images are stored, handled and named
- new backend layout and functionalities
- optimized newsletter handling
- user groups
- user permissions
- XHTML compliant
- ...
