Removing multiple files / images

Post by sven_hom »

Hi there!

I've a great amount of pictures located in different folders in my file-manager. Now I'm searching for a possibility to delete multiple files or the complete folder with just one click, because I don't want to remove all the unnecessary pictures seperatly.
Is there a hack or something else to get this functionality into my backend to be used by authors? I can't teach my customers to use phpmyadmin.

Thanks and greets,
Sven

Ohhhh, there you have come accross a great weekness in phpwcms. It's not quite that straight forward. "With just one click"? In your dreams.

But here are are some instructions for you, I've never tried it, and I'm not sure from which version this works. Not sure whether this is something to teach your clients.

Looks not too difficult. Maybe phpwcmas is not too weak in this point after all.

And here is more:

http://faq.phpwcms-docu.de/index.php?ac ... artlang=en

hmmmm, this is more complicated. Could somone tell us please what's the difference between these two links and the one in the previous post? Maybe I'm too drunk or it's too late for me. Thanks.

Hey spirelli!

Thanks for your reply, but this is not what I'm searching for.
I found this hints earlier, but they only describe the second step of deleting images, which is getting rid of deleted files and their database references.

I would like to delete more than one file with one click in the file center. To delete a whole (not empty) folder would be another solution.

Sorry about that. As it looks to me that is not possible from the file centre. Unless someone elso knows different.
