External editors?

Post by Orangez »

Checked the forum but could not find the following:

Is there a way to edite the template with an external editor? Like Dreamweaver for instance?

And where is the *.php located that you then need to edit?

A lot of questions, most of them will seem very silly!

Hope someone can help!

You create your template with DW or an other editor and cuts it then you copy the templateparts in the correct block by the templateassistent.

But this is very often explain in this forum. :D

Or you look here http://www.phpwcms.de/index.php?id=3,0,0,1,0,0

I figured that, but i was wondering if you could not make a index.php, use the tags, and voila.

But if thats the way to go then i'll go and chop!

Thanks!

My idea, in the page layout thingy, go and make your total size of the page what ever (800 for example) then make the main block 800, then make the rest 0 and then when you edit the template you can just put one big block in there or have it seperated within the template thing. I have yet to try this but I assume it works.
