document_root.php ->Can't find folders

Post by anthony.abraira »

This message has been sent to my ISP to see if they can figure it out. However, I know you phpWCMS geniuses out there, might have an easier time deciphering my issue with this site. Here's what I sent them. Feel free to go ahead and snoop around. The site is new, so there is nothing to worry about when it comes to security.
I have a site hosted at http://abraira.com

Recently I went ahead and installed the phpWCMS Content Management System. During the installation I ran into an issue concerning paths. The error that I am getting has been remarked at the software company site at:

http://www.phpwcms-docu.de/errormessages_inst.phtml

The last error, the one where none of the folders are identified during the installation is what I am encountering. I have gone ahead and copied. the document_root.php file to the root of my site to ascertain the correct path for my software. This can be seen at the installation setup folder on the server:

To test document_root.php go to: http://www.abraira.com/document_root.php

http://www.abraira.com/setup/setup.php

Steps 1-4 seem to be fine, but when it gets to the final step, where it determines the location and permission settings of folders, its dead lock at not finding anything. As you can see, I have already done all the necessary steps stipulated in the help, to correct this but I am still dead in the water.

Please let me know when you can, what is required to make this function properly.
Thanks again for the help! :shock:

The script is searching for the

'config/phpwcms/conf.inc.php'

and can´t find.
Have you read/done this:
If (1) and (2) not equal then add following
line at the end of your conf.inc.php but before ending "?>":

$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] = '/mnt/Target01/324460/324463/www.abraira.com/web/content';

You guess right, when you search for it here:

/config/phpwcms/conf.inc.php
or in your case:
http://www.abraira.com/web/content/conf ... nf.inc.php
open it with a ftp .
Change it and with a litlle bit of luck.
The first problem should be solved.

The problem as it seems is, that
you "hide" your script in a subdirsubdir.

Very important is to click the checkboxes
create all db tables and
something with an admin
or create a new ... or something

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. - H. Jackson Brown -
