I am trying to actualize some files in a website (PDF, but could be images or whatever). I used the PHPWCMS file manager to include them on the site... but once they are uploaded it does not seem to be an option to upload again a file: so, if that file has to be modified we seem to be obligued to introduce the changed one as a new one and, therefore, to change its link in the content part...
Is there any method to actualize them directly from the File section. That would be very useful, I think...
Thanks for your help

Hi Evoplure,
I hope I am understanding right. I think there is a way for actualizing files. (V1.26)
You must use the ftp takeover.
Here we have some switches called: [ ] active [ ] public [ ] Replace eponymous files
It works for me very well.
Gruß Knut

In my opinion...eponymous is TOO "obtuse"flip-flop wrote:Here we have some switches called: [ ] active [ ] public [ ] Replace eponymous files
It is virtually NEVER used in common vernacular (Universal English).
SHOULD probably just be something LIKE:
[ ] active [ ] public [ ] Overwrite original files
[ ] active [ ] public [ ] Replace original files
[ ] active [ ] public [ ] Update original files
[ ] active [ ] public [ ] Overwrite current files
[ ] active [ ] public [ ] Replace current files
[ ] active [ ] public [ ] Update current files
DeXXus you are right.
In german it calls: [ ] aktiv [ ] öffentlich [ ] Ersetze gleichnamige Dateien
The 1:1 translation: Replace files of the same name
Gruß Knut

Thank you
Thank you very much. It works perfect. I hope this feature will be include in future releases out of the ftp takeover section, because final users could find of use to be able to update their files easily, without touching any FTP ... But for me now is more than enough. Thank you again
