I like it to wait for new releases, when the new release will be stable...

I like it also, when unfinished parts of phpwcms are getting finished, before new module will be developed...

The most changes are always inside phpwcms, not outside, so it seems that the development stucks a little bit

I love the system, but hell... I just don't know if I can wait anymore... I have lost/destroyed/given up on project because I was 'hopeful' that WCMS would have a new release soon.

Its killing me to say, but I have started learning other systems... I can't risk so much on this cms anymore.

I fail to see what is wrong with the current version.

Why does there need to be constant revisions?
Would it make people happy if v 1.2.6 was renamed v2.0?

I am no expert with CMSystems. I have tried a few and none have gotten me up to speed or have the neat futures like wcms.
There are a few things I'd like wcms to do. Sure. I'd also like to make more money, loose 50 pounds and have a satisfying job.

I have looked at other CMSystems costing thousands of dollars.
Then I ask if it could do something I they say no.

Has anyone looked at Sites you are proud of ?
There are some kick ass sites.

sure, I have been able to create some killer sites..
I am very happy with the product.. I guess I am just frustrated that I am being forced to dilute my knowledge with the inner workings of other systems.. I would much prefer to simple focuse on WCMS and blast away at creating stellar sites.

ich bin momentan absolut angenervt, das sich die Entwicklung dieses CMS so schleppend bewegt. Sicherlich haben wir kein Anspruch auf sofortige Neuerungen, ist mir auch klar, dass O.G. hier seine Freizeit opfert. Die Tatsache ist, dass andere Systeme um Lichtjahre voraus sind und phpWCMS überholen.

Was mich besonders ärgert, ist diese "Erhabenheit" (von oben herab), hier im Forum. Man wird hier ab und zu als dummen Jungen hingestellt. So nach dem Motto: "Das hättest du aber wissen müssen". Das man natürlich auch mal die Suchfunktion nutzen sollte ist auch klar.

Mit dem "schleppend" gebe ich dir recht. Mit dem Überholen, das ist Ansichtssache, je nach dem worauf man Wert legt.
Ich brauche auch nicht den letzten hype in einem System, wenn mir die aktuellen Möglichkeiten halbwegs ausreichen.
Stell dich mal sicherheitshalber darauf ein, das es nach dieser Welle mit den Test-Skripten und dem alten e-Mail Formular noch ein wenig länger dauert, bis ein Update kommt.

Fast das Gleiche habe bei meinem Einstieg auch gedacht.
Kurze knappe Antworten von O.G., die einen kaum weiterbrachten.
Heute weiß ich wieso das so ist/war.
Wenn du tief im System steckst, nerven dich banale Fragen einfach nur noch. Zumindest nach einer gewissen Zeit. - Deshalb übrigens auch die FAQ.
Mittlerweile kann ich diese Aussage zumindest für mich treffen.
Es gehen manchmal locker ein bis zwei Std. am Tag in den Support.
Geld will auch noch verdient werden und die Familie ist auch da.
Die Beweggründe der Leute die hier Hilfestellung leisten sind, denke ich, sehr unterschiedlich dies zu tun. Eine gewisses Mitteilungsbedürfnis und eine soziale Ader gehören schon dazu.

Ich sage auch, das phpWCMs kein System für Anfänger ist oder Leute die überhaupt keinen Forscherdrang haben, bzw. kein Basis-HTML sprechen.
Die DOCU lesen ist eigentlich pflicht, weiß aber selbst wie nervig so etwas ist. Daher gibt es hier oft Anfragen die schon mehrfach beantwortet wurden oder sogar in der DOCU stehen.
Ein gutes howto fehlt leider noch. Bist herzlich eingeladen daran mitzuarbeiten. Das ist Arbeit ohne Ende.
Interessant wäre ein direkter Austausch mit O.G. um zu erfahren wie es weitergeht, bzw. auch um hier mal wieder etwas Motivation hineinzubringen.

Für einige Leute wäre es sicher besser, ein System mit Handbuch anzuschaffen. Sie würden Zeit sparen und sich u.U. nicht ärgern dass es nicht so richtig funktioniert.
