Need to buy a new PC

Post by Kosse »

Hi all,

I want to buy a new PC (actually a workstation) for my job.
I typically use (at the same time and almost always):
- 10 to 30 FF tabs (always)
- 2-3 IExplorer open (always)
- skype running (always)
- Norton running (always)
- Outlook open (always)
- Dreamweaver 8 (always), Flash (sometimes)
- Photoshop (always)
- Illustrator (almost always)
- Jyve
- Msn (almost always)
- Word/excel (almost always)
- MM Captivate (sometimes)
- Quark (sometimes)
- and more...

So, I think I need:
- (very) Powerfull graphic card (ex: 2 ways out for 2 screens, etc...)
- at least 2 Gb of ram
I don't specially need a good sound card (don't care) nor a screen (I already have 2 good ones).

Can somebody recommend an integrated solution (I don't want to buy 20 parts and put them together, I just need a PC ready-to-run)?
I saw alienware, looks funky and powerfull. Has anybody had any experience with it? My budget would be around 1500/2000 € (maybe more if really awesome and I can't resist) :P .

Thanks
frold
