Installation with Easyphp 1.7

I'm having problems installing WCMS on my PC (OS Win XP) locally. CMS Nuke and MD-pro have been installed correctly before. Now I'm trying to install WCMS, which I really like. I think it's a very nice and professional CMS. But I have encountered some problems:
After installation and after having chequed all versions (MySql, Php...)

Do I need to create a MySql database first with phpmyadmin?
Which are the php files that I can modify for a correct use of WCMS?

hi, LOOOOONG post you have yourself there

firstly, you DO need to create the mySQL Database before installing phpwcms. all the table can be created for you durin the installation steps though

secondly: is there any change you would just post a link to a phpinfo page? (of trim any line starting with a ;) it is presented a lot cleaner for people to decipher.

php4.x installed directly out of the box will work for you as it has mySQL as a native DB hanlder. you may need to check/correct any paths that php.ini uses.
