Home site structure problem after upgrade

I upgraded my DEV 1.23 to 1.25 and I'm now unable to make changes to the site structure of Home (the frontpage website root level).

When I click send category data it just reverts to the old settings.
The conf.indexpage.inc.php file is set as 666.

The other entries in site structure can be changed without any problems.

Any ideas what I should do?

did you try to chmod 777?

yes 777 still the same. But nevermind I'll edit the conf.indexpage.inc.php directly.
