New site converted from bulky phpWebSite. Some sections to be added, but the basic functionality is in place.

Boy, I sure could use an integrated shopping cart system for this one. (Hint, hint.)

Thanks for the encouragement. For me, usable will always take a front seat to pretty. Without quesiton, any of my sites could be improved ... more usable ... with better content ... and be more visually engaging.
When I'm rich and famous, I'll hire someone to make things pretty, unless there's a designer around who would like free hosting in the U.S. in exchange for a makeover of my makeover.

Well ... it took several hours to figure it out ... and it still needs a real artist's touch, but I think it is improved visually.

hmm sorry just to let you know ( http://www.brenner.lu / http://www.gc-laegern.ch ) are some sites of mine, therefore you can recognize that I am a fan of clean websites, with only the grafics that you really need to bring in some colour and keep the CI, not more, not less. I have to admit that for brenner.lu I had to follow several advices and it took some hours until I got it as good as it is today but please:
tidy up your mess. If I go to your site then I really see some mess and leave it. There is absolutely no focus on the most important things and of course: because everything is spread all over the screen, you won't find the information you need at first sight, which in my opinion, must be an aim of a good website.
I would completely restart (if you have the time to do so) with a completely new design maybe http://de.selfhtml.org/css/layouts/index.htm (sorry I think its German only for the moment, look for some other css tutorial around the internet) was a very good point to start at. I have experienced that it is much easier to create tidy websites when you use CSS + DIV design. (no must)
After having visited this, you could have a look at http://www.bluerobot.com for some hints on tidy layouts and maybe you could visit http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic for some navigation styles.
maybe this:
http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=/1 ... css&page=2
was the direction to aim at, just to keep it simple but good looking.

Looks good
No it might not scream "bleeding edge" but I think this site does a very decent job of doing what it's supposed to.
