Well, I have made the need_to_login to false, so anybody can edit all pages without authentication, username or password. The configuration of phpwiki is more than cryptical and not all methods are works.

Florian: did i read correctly that you wrote the SSL section for phpwcms?
if this means you know all about SSL the I'd love to chat with you about it.
I would like to know....
1: to use SSL on my server.. do I need to pay $n00's for a 'veri sign' type certificate?
if yes > oh crap
if no > can i set it up on my system myself for free?
if yes/no > more info on how to set SSL up on my server please

@pSouper, You should be able to run your site on ssl. the veri sign stuff only comes into play if you want to look like you are "official" otherwise people may get a message saying that things look fishy b/c you are not registered with verisign. I don't know if that makes a lot of sense but in essence if yougo to your site at https://yoursite.com or http://yoursite.com:whateversslport then you are using a ssl connection. I hope this helps.
thanks a lot for the info IonRock.
is it really as simple as that?
I don't need to set anything up at all [although I have allowed https in my network connection]
and I guess just turn SSL on in inc.conf.php
I know nothing about ports though
would you know of any site I should read up on for info?
PS: Hey look everyone, a post from IONROCK in under four pages
