article "Edit" icon / "Edit" Symbol

Post by spirelli »

Could maybe in Versin 1.2 the icon for editing an article Image be changed to something more clear? Maybe we can have something like this: Image
All the time when I show editors how to use the system I get asked about 1000 times which icon to click to edit an article. Well, the existing icon really gives no clue about it's function.

Vielleicht: Image

i also think so spirelli. The icon isn't clear for much people.

@cyrano

Good to see that others thisn that way too. I still think that the word "EDIT" is the clearest to understand. Its being used in all other places as well. So I'm wondereing: Why introduce/have different ones for essentially the same thing.

Hi,

Hi,
what do you think about a pencil icon for the edit button?

grundsätzlich wäre das i.o.

My answer was only another idea for a new icon :D

The "E" or the word "Edit" isn't bad, its a good idea. The cross I would interprete as "Delete" how it is described above.

I'd prefer the 'edit' icon as well.

Anyway, for most of my 'Authors', icons are way too small and I already thought about replacing them with a bigger icon set. Maybe Oliver (or somebody else) can make a second icon set for the backend.

Hi frold,

can you provide your icon set somewhere?
