Directories with 'nobody' as owner?

Post by Oreb »

I've narrowed my CMS search down to just a few and this is one of 'em. But before I go and install it, I need to ask a question. Does this system use the nobody owner to write to files or do tasks? I ask because everytime I try to delete such files, I have to go and ask my host to do it for me. I'm working on getting permission to see those files but I'd still rather avoid the hassle.

So. Does phpWCMS set up files that way?

Thanks.

You will need no assistance from you rhosing company to remove or delete any files that phpwcms uses or uploads to you server.

In fact this is the best cms out there today as well as the users of the forum

Hi and thanks. I did try it and you're right (of course  ), it was a cinch to install and didn't add anything untoward to my server.

I've uninstalled it and want to try a couple more, primarily because it didn't seem (I could be wrong) to give me any opportunity to actually code my pages.

Still, I may come back to it. It's trim and neat and doesn't seem t have any stuff I don't want. I'm perfectly happy adding my galleries whatever else I want to use with separate scripts.

Thanks for the response. Oh, and I also agree that this is an excellent forum.
