login problems

I have a problem with the installation,

i managed to get the phpwcms database in mysql in the setup section but i can't access with my database password and user name in the login section.

work on a mac os 10.2.8 php 4.3.4 all my permissions to 777 and can't find the problem.

can anyone help give a help, plase?

I have the same problem: can't access with the username and password I set..., and I didn't get it yet

Settings

***Linux

***PHP---------->4.3.1
APACHE------->2.0.44
MYSQL-------->4.0.11

***All permissions to 777

Any help will be appreciated.

i found the solution adding a user and password by hand in the database, take a look at this link.
