changing template of article list

i want to change the template of the article list which are not shown as "top articles".

look at the screenshot .....

how to change the template ?
i want to display not only the articletitle, but for example the article date, or the subtitle of the article there.
how to do ??

hello

wich version did you use!?

edit the structure then you will see a topcount value! set them to the value you want.
and when you create an article you see there template article list and article! choose there for list the sample.tmpll

here you find the template for list
/phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/articlesummary/

and here for summary
/phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/article/

p.s. please try also to use the search function cos you will find a lot of those answers for those questions!

i'm using version 1.1-RC4 22-06-2004 !

there's no directory
/phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/article/

there are only directorys
/phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/articlesummary/article
and
/phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/articlesummary/list

in these directories are templates for displaying one complete article
and for displaing the articles which are shown as "toparticles" (with summary for example)

there's no directory with templates for the articles which are not shown as "toparticles"

there are only templates for the articles which are shown with summary (the top count xx articles) and the template for displaying the complete article.

where is the third template directory, for the article list ?

look again at my screenshot ! what file do i have to edit to add the article date to the article list (the area i circled red in my screenshot) ??

hello

as i wrote in my thread edit the articles an choose the sample template!
and if you don't have these both dirs

/phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/articlesummary/article/sample.tmpl
/phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/articlesummary/list/sample.tmpl

then something went wrong at the update.

i tried the sample template. changes nothing at my problem.
i can change the look & feel of the top count articles, but not of the listed articles below. look at my new screenshot.

the area circled with blue color can be changed by using the templatefiles in /phpwcms_template/inc_cntpart/articlesummary/list/
, but it seems i cannot change the area cicled with red color !

or how to do ??

hello

2 possilbe errors

1. you don't advise all articlesummarys the sample.tmpl
2. the topcount is set to 2 and not 4 or higher you can also set the topcount to 99 for this structure level,

hello

i can't remember that this is possible for the last two!
cos the alyout for the last two is hardcoded as far as i remember.

maybe you can create a new tmpl but that means you need to change it manually.

two templates .... one for the upper two articles .... one for the rest of articles .... ok !! i was thinking about this possibility too.
seems to be the only way !

so everytime i write a new article (with template1 showing also summary) which is appearing at the top, i have to change the old second article (from template1 to template2, which shows ony the article date & title).

would like it only to touch one article at this time .... would be much more comfortable.

ok, seems i will have to live with that !

if you use the latest version you have the possibility to setup the sort order of the articles!
