What about a tag for files upload date?

It would be handy for upgrades and patches.

The upload date is already there, in File Center. A field to store a string to display along with the file would be nice too (it could be used, for example, for the version)

Suggestion: {FILE_DATE}, {UPLOAD_DATE}, {FILE_VERSION}

It would make possible to use a link to the file within any article, with some extended information, or even use that information alone. Just imagine a situation where, like in my case, we need to upload a file every month with the same name, lets say SETUP.EXE. Using {FILE_VERSION:file} one could use it to automatically update the article information about that file.

However, it's not as important as {FILE_DATE:file} and {UPLOAD_DATE:file}, and it's not really a need, only handy
