Is there any way to upload multiple images/files at once?

uploade the files to "phpwcms_ftp" via ftp and the go to "take over files uploaded by ftp" and then you can "transfere" them to the file manager for more info see...

multiple http uploads can often make problems - ftp is faster and better for multiple files.

Is there a possibility to create an extra menu item in "files" where you can upload several pics to the dir. Now you have to do that by external ftp client. Why not integrate it in the phpwcms?

For most people it is not recommend to upload many files via HTTP - there is no plan to integrate multiple file upload. That's why I've implemented the ftp upload - more stable and you can upload large files without any problems.
