Discuss phpwcms here, please do not post support requests, bug reports, or feature requests! Non-phpwcms questions, discussion goes in General Chat!

Or do you say just use a translator for good sake!!

Use Babel Fish Translation dude! Or learn german - it's worth it just to understand all the posts here!

Reply of a newcomer. I voted for the second option. But please keep in mind, we have to put up with English language and in my case two other languages. We had to go through the trouble learning the other language, we have to "bear" with people writing in the other so important language because they don't know our mothertongue. Since the tower of Bable we have to live with this curse together. Let's not make life worse. When you need a translation, you just kindly ask for it, without irritation. And for all of us Bilinguals, lets go the second mile and make an effort to translate the most important things. With enough critical mass this forum will split in two or more languages anyhow. It is just growing pains of this project.

Hi there,

it is true that phpWCMS is a german project, but if all discussions were done in german it would not be the thing it is today ! The daily support given from users from all over the world makes phpWCMS live and helps to improve the product we all love  !

So in my opinion it is a great advantage to have people from all over the world work together and help each other, thats the way it should be not only in this community .....

To keep up the good work and support Olivers CMS we all should try to use a language that all users can understand and i think it is much easier for us germans to read and write in english as for others to read and write german. English is the language of choice here, so everybody should accept this. And as you can see, the most part of postings here are in english so the german posts do not intend to keep somebody out of the track .... as Jan already said, not everybody has the vocabulary to translate his postings to english.

To come to an end, I would suggest to post mostly in english even if this is a german site.

Peace, understanding, harmony and phpWCMS :D

I am sorry if I anger you, but I think this discussion is obsolete. As you can't force people to write in english, this board will always stay bilingual.

Nonetheless I think everything works quite fine, and almost every question has been asked at least twice or thrice in both languages ;).

I think it have been said before.... You are welcome to post a Q in german, but if you can do it in english the chances to get a answer are bigger - that easy it is..
