PHP editor

Post by PaRa »

Can someone recommend a good PHP editor... one in which you can quickly edit the php prefferably with coloring of the code but without the extras a program like dreamweaver would provide. So just plain text with coloring and a decent lay-out

thx!

I haven't tried it, but heard many good recommendations about Crimson Editor:

Since I'm an ~old~ dog w/o new tricks, for just plain editing I have used Edit Plus 2 forever (but it's commercial software).

EDIT:
Here's a list of some

I use AceHTML 5(6) for everything even I have other " famous softwares ". It's easy and powerful, can do from HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP, to PHP. You can download a free version here http://freeware.acehtml.com/
