hello
a few times would ask to show news at the index page.
some kind of {levelcontent:ID:count}
ID is for the level of the sitestructure
count for the shown summarys
so this tag should read all articles in one sitestructure level.
you can place an summary content wherever you want.
new rep tag possible!?

i quote my own post from "Extended {RELATED...} tag"
I think on that way everythink is possible .I would like to have an more extended related tag.
I think a combination from new and related would be very usefull.
{RELATED:INT_COUNT:keyword1, keyword2,...:Date[1|0]:css_class}
Then we can for example show a "Newsticker" for special keywords and we can use different css_classes in different situations/positions.
Another way for the Date-Parameter was to use the Format from the new {DATE:FORMAT} and if it is emty don't show a date .

Sorry i didn't see this thread!
Your solution is also nice but also i need to say that i don't like the long Rep tags with thousands of config extensions! if you have one template for this like the new article summary i think it's enough. i think if you have this mass of config seperated by : you worries almost newbies. i rellay need to say that i have with this settings also my problems
my idea is only to read out one structure you want. and you only decide how many articels would be shown from this structure. it should be shown in this way how you format it in ths level. understand what i mean!? iwill hope.
You are right.Pappnase wrote:i think if you have this mass of config seperated by : you worries almost newbies.
A better way is to made a content-part. But i think oliver do something that will help .
positioning content, templates, ...
Yep, your idea is also good. It is ever good to made a differenz between content and layout. Than you can use the content on different ways .Pappnase wrote: understand what i mean!? i will hope.
