Hi all,
i just ran into a problem i never had before. Searched the forum but only found one entry about 6 years ago, solution id not work for me.
The problem:
On a site i am using the email form. Whenever i use it i get the following respons: Your IP xx.xx.xx.xx is not allowed to send form!
Although there is a copy send to my email adres, it is not send to the Original recepient.
the site is running on a server with several phpwcms sites, they all use that form and no one else ha problems.
I am not really sure where to look for the solution ? form problem ? act_formmailer? DNS ?
Any help would be appreciated..

Normally it is a message by guestbook form...
or one by contact form....
It's a spam protection measure.

It's mostly all about maintaining two or three customer's sites Still supporter for the band Mykket Morton. Visit Mykket Morton on FB. Listen Mykket Morton and live videos on youtube.

Re: IP Not Allowed to send Form!
Thanx for the info. It actually is a email form consiting of 3 fields (name, mail, Phone) and a send button. Nothing complicated.
Strange thing is that i use the exact same form on several other sites on the same server. No problem there.
Don't really get where this comes from...

In general within 1 hour you should be able to the send form again. Normally a user is not doing multiple times.
Re: IP Not Allowed to send Form!
Hi Oliver,
I understand but the problem is you get this message right away as soon as you press send. No matter what ip you are using.
To test, i used several different WAN IP's. Same result every time.
I even updated to 1.6.531 just to be sure. Also created a new form, same problem.
The weird thing is that apperently the data is stored in the database and a copy of the message is sent to me.
But the recepient never get's the message and this error appears every time.

Re: IP Not Allowed to send Form!
Hard to say what goes wrong on your server. Each form has a unique value which is used to trace the user. No email is sent in case of form error, no data are stored.
Maybe you do some redirection or you send the form by ajax and so the field is missing…
There was no change since many years here.

Re: IP Not Allowed to send Form!
Well, it's none of that. I am using mod-rewrite, but then again, doing that on almost all sites.
I am not using ajax. Just plain Show CP. Like i said, exactly the same way i use on several other sites.
And none of them has that problem.
Just cleared all form tables in the database and made sure permissions are set correctly. Still not working.
Anyway, thanx for having a look at this.
I will keep searching and post updates here as soon i have them.
