Filelist content part causes page to not display

Post by achilehero »

Hi everybody!

I am using version 1.5 (r483). I need to display a filelist of files to be downloaded on this website: http://www.palfinger.ro/index.php

If you go here: http://palfinger.ro/index.php?pk-13001- ... erformance , there is the filelist content part enabled. This causes the page to not display at all. Has anyone had such problems? I havent't, until now.

Thanks!

How does your template for the CP file/list look like?
It's mostly all about maintaining two or three customer's sites Still supporter for the band Mykket Morton. Visit Mykket Morton on FB. Listen Mykket Morton and live videos on youtube.

It happens both with the default template and a custom one that works just fine here: www.suprastructuri.ro . The only difference is that the suprastructuri website runs the last official release of phpwcms 1.4

The newest release is r443. My quick test shows a perfectly working file list Content Part. There must be something wrong with your install, but not the CP file list... :?

Sorry... I have r438 (not r483 as I mistyped). On Google code that's the last. I'll try to find and upgrade to r443 and see. You say it's the installation, but when I make the filelist cp not visible, the page displays. When I put it visible, the page disappears. I'll try some other Cp's and see, but with the article list there's no problem...

Which kind of files did you list there?

Does this topic say anything about the problem? http://forum.phpwcms.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=22727 I don't know German. I used Google translate to put it into English and seems that Oliver said there is a problem in the las post. Is this true?

Try a fresh r443 installation - does the error occur too?

Did you try it with other files than your pdfs? (i.e. new/fresh ones?)

I tried installing a fresh new copy of r438 with all the default settings here:

http://www.platinumsolutions.ro/phpwcms/

This is working. I don't know why the other one isn't. I'll try moving the database from the problem site here and see what happens.

I performed a clean install and it seems the problem is still there. Could this have anything to do with the mysql server version which is 4.1.22-standard ? On the other server that has newer version of mysql, there's no problem.

Do the problem only ocour at pdf-Files?
Try to test with other extensions (for example Zip or doc-Files).

Maybe the script try to make a thumb of the pdf-File du to a mistake in handling pdf-files.
