Old article stuff in new article
Old article stuff in new article
Hi
I generated a new Article with Content (WYSIWYG HTML).
When i look at the page, i see the stuff of an old article i already deleted before my new article and its content.
When i look into my page source, i cannot see the old stuff, just the new one.
Is this s.th. with the database ?
How can i get rid of this old article stuff ?
My Template ("Vorlage") has only the {CONTENT} Replacement Tag in it for the content and as i can see on the page source, only my article is inserted. But when i see the page, the old stuff from another article is in there.
I deleted cache and history in my browser.
Any suggestions ?

i looked into the db. but i think the text that appears is the text you insert when you create a new article (not a new content in this article).
i could not find s.th. in the database. where are the articles saved ? i guess in phpwcms_article or phpwcms_articlecat !?
EDIT: it seems that this stuff appears on every subpage of one of my main pages. i think i had this stuff (article) in the mainpage before, then delete it and now it appears on every subpage...

hm. no. i checked this for all articles. but right now i only have 4 articles.
but there seems to be a lot of old stuff in my db from earlier testing. how secure is it, to delete this stuff ?
but at a first look i cannot find this article stuff there (from the old one i deleted in the admin panel)
EDIT: Well i watched now for the title and summary in table phpwcms_article. But there is nothing. No entry with the title or summary i see on my webpages...

hm. if you mean with that i changed/deleted/etc s.th. by hand in the db... No, didn`t do anything by hand in the db.pSouper wrote:not sure how you got all the old stuff unless you were messing about in the db yourself.
The old stuff in the database is from earlier articles which i deleted to create new ones. They all have a '9' in the article_deleted field, so i guess that the cms recognized my deletion and marked them as deleted so they dont appear anymore (or should not)...
what do you mean by this, new install ?pSouper wrote:if no then rethink your game plan.
hm. another point that could bring me to a solution of this problem:
Code: Select all
http://.../index.php?id=2,11,0,0,1,0

so all your deleted files are marked with a 9 but still apear in the articles?
if so you should just upload the phpwcms back up - they may have corrupted some how.
if not...
if you should then here is a tip..

you could do it that way, it is quick an easy the more you do it.what do you mean by this, new install ?
if you should then here is a tip..
- keep you old frontend.css
- copy&paste all the areas of all your templates to .txt files
- anthing you can think off too.
No. The articles marked with '9' dont appear. But the article that appears and should not appear isnt listed in the database. Sounds super-strange but that is how it is. Or it is not an article... i will check the content table... wait a sec ... no. there is nothing in there with the words of what there appear.pSouper wrote:so all your deleted files are marked with a 9 but still apear in the articles?

But the SUPER-strange thing is, what i already posted is that the content that should not appear is not listed in the page source of my browser(s). It is not in there... how can i then be on the screen

They all have the '1' in the 5th parameter incommon. What does the 5th parameter, or for what does he stand ??Code: Select all
http://.../index.php?id=2,11,0,0,1,0
0 = structure ID
1 = article ID
2 = e.g. 1 -> Print
3 = if 1 show structure
4 = if link to article then show (1)
5 = spare for serveral things
