News in Article center in 1.3.9?

Hello.
I'm wondering is there some docu how to use News in Article center in new phpwcms v1.3.9?

I have a problem with news site, because all articles (which are news in this case) are visible after end date in backend section.
There is a lot of articles in site structure, esspecially in news category.
I'm not administering news at that site, and I'm getting a lot of complaints about this.
Is there any way to automatically delete expired articles?

At the end of every news entry it says "available after end date" with a checkbox. Try that.
