hi, still got no useful answers to some questions in http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11831
a few days ago.
i try to describe my problem again:
i use the teaser_ex rep-tag, to permanently show a article listing from a >news< category. (to have permanent appeareance, i put the tag in my default page-template in the >left< area. is there another way to do this?)
this category should never be visible in the main navigation.
but what happens:
although i check the >invisible< button (in the site-structure admin-section), the categories' name >news< will finally appear in the main navigation, if someone clicks on a >news< article, that the teaser_ex rep-tag gives me on the left side.
what to do?

Re: trying to create a fixed info column
what about the "frontend menu status"? you have checked the "hide"-option?

in general, is creating a hidden category the right way to store some extra content? in mysql, ruediger wrote:although i check the >invisible< button (in the site-structure admin-section)
there would simply be a separate table for it. but here in phpwcms, its all under one big site structure. confusing...
thanks, ruediger
