FCKEditor, please help a newbie

Post by Roath »

Sorry, but this question has most likely been answered, however i do not understand german and im not very good at understanding coding, so please help me with this problem.

I just installed WAMP on my computer so that i could use it to test stuff on instead of an external host, i then came across this nifty looking CMS, installed it and it works like it seems it should (blank frontend due to no templates etc. as far as i know)

now, my problem is that even thou i set the WYSIWYG setting in the config file to "2" so that it should use the FCKEditor, it doesn't show anything at all, the textbox when creating an article is just a normal textbox, no toolbars or anything.

could someone please help me? i have searched these forums, but have yet to find a solution i even understand :S

Hi Roath,

did you used the FCK by pico or the standard version?
What version of phpWCMS you are using?

- Browser FF?
- JavaScript at your browser = on?
- Personal Firewall working?

regards Knut

im using the one that came with PHPWCMS, mainly because as i wrote i dont have enough knowledge og php and stuff to trust myself to start editing bigger files.

what do you mean with Browser FF? FireFox? its the main browser i use.

Yup, javascript is on.

No firewall active (yup, know its dumb, but they always keep bugging me "want to block this and that")
