Shinys WCMS-Blog hackfree mod [multi language ready]

Post custom hacks and enhancements for phpwcms here only. Maybe some of these things will be included in official release later.

Shinys WCMS-Blog hackfree mod [multi language ready]

Post by juergen »

The Hackfree blog module can be downloaded here: http://jgbm.de/WCMSBLOG.phtml

Hi @all,

this came from playing around :

I took shinys BLOG and had a closer look to this software and to the newest phpwcms itself. So until we will have Ollis Official Blog, here is the possibility to have the Hack-Blog from shiny inside an original phpwcms software >=1.3.3 without a single code change

Thanks to claus for hard BETA testing with poems :P The poem is not part of the release. *g* See it running by clicking my www-buttom.

The captcha Integration needs some extra work, maybe within 24 hours. Perhaps I'll go and ask shiny before releasing it with the complete code, which is 99% his.

Let's see if there is any interest in this ?

[Update 12.01.2008] multiple Language support, now English and german... see if we will have some more languages.

Jürgen

Do you have taken a look to the "Rewrite"-Problematic (Link-Generation inside frontside-Renderer) and the Problem with Prefix-Databases?
I remember, that i had to modify shinys DB-Init-Skript to work with phpwcms-Databases with Prefixes (or other prefixes than default)...
I remeber also, that there was several discussion about bugfixing the timestamp-Output to be able to write the time in outher than US Time-Formats,...

It would be great to include these bugfixes into a mod-Release, wouldn't it?

regards,
Bjoern

Hello balbi,

the rewrite (as to be seen) is fixed. Prepend... will give it a try with some other domain. In this moment I just look at captcha to get it work exact[/quote]

It's really real!
And it works! Some little ones to iron out left, but comes in very handy! Thank you for letting me be your tester. I'm just trying to outsource more styling into the css file...
Couldn't have done it myself, but am starting to wonder if it is possible for me to switch over the nice gallery script, which I used to use in hacked form some time ago.
I think I'll give it a try

Thats a Version running .. some need in install, excluded permalinks, reading from big troubles with these from wordpress.. needs some more information.

Install: FTP only since yet: in /su there is the structure of the needed Database.

Claus is going to repair css, I cruised around this, using frontend.css :D
Repair on BLOG-edit and save so Email Notification is running as well..

In my dreams :!: I beleave we could do some more hacks in clean modules and do an update on phpwcms every day ;)

Watch out for version numbers upgrowing today caused by BS-weather :D

repaired these perma-parma-cheese links, so now each blog part can be called for its own, no matter if rewrite on or off

//Edit: 11.11.07 Repair: Installs in subdir also
Repair: Perm Links with alias and no rewrite also

I just installed the mod for version 1.3.5 I get these errors; no entry is displayed on the site.
Any idea what might be the problem?

- Before adding a blog

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\wamp\www\phpwcms\include\inc_module\mod_blogs\inc_lib\functions.db.inc.php on line 273

- After listing blog entries:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in C:\wamp\www\phpwcms\include\inc_module\mod_blogs\inc_tmpl\listentries.tmpl.php on line 80
