Captcha hack for older phpwcms versions?

Hi,

I would be very grateful if someone could point out any hack for implementing a captcha in release 1.1 (RC4) (guestbook and email form).

I used "Bad Behavior" as is suggested in other threads but unfortunately it does not stop spam.

I am having serious trouble with spam and upgrade is difficult due to heavy localization (greek language).
