Forum CP [v.1.0 !]

Post custom hacks and enhancements for phpwcms here only. Maybe some of these things will be included in official release later.

Yes it is still alive. the lkast days i was working nearly every day on it.
the only problem at the moment is that it is very deeply customized to a modiefied wcms verison although i think one should be able to make it more compatible again. anyways i will finish it first.

For you information: this is not a replacement for a pro forum tool, bt it has some basic features
editing (admins cann edit and delete all)
deleting
pagination of topics
send mail to all forum users when creating a topic
send mail to all forum users when creating a reply (can be limited to a certain group but not yet to only those who posted in that topic)
some security related issues (no more forum switching possible via url forum ID changing)

Anyways if someone has a bridge to use a normal forum, this might definitely be the better solution ;)

Good to hear that since there is some need for a small scale forum for phpwcms with some of the core features of the bigger ones (you know: most forums outside are biiig'n'mighty but no one is posting there), so a little one integrated into the cms (as a CP / module plugin) will come in really handy for most of our needs.
And your description of the features will do good enough for that purpose, I think. Could be enhanced then with the upcoming user / groups management... by some skilled ones...
very deeply customized to a modiefied wcms
I hope this will be a compatible one some day (= near future ;) )
if someone has a bridge to use a normal forum
bridging the user thingy as well....

This morning I am just in a mood of uttering the question whether there are some news on progress?
I could lend a helping hand for testing

While visiting your really coolrunnin' test forum every now and then I'm curiously wondering what's going on "behind the curtain" - any news to satisfy my teased heart? :)

....to satisfy my teased heart....
I just uncommented the corresponding parts in cnt53.article.inc.php, phpwcms.php, article.contenttype.inc.php and what shall I say: I've got forum
But as the parts of phalancs' changes are (still) missing I cannot edit, it doesn't send mail...
But I did it with a 1.35.1 and I can create forums, get them into a page and can post and answer...
Isn't this cool?
Now more than ever waiting, but in the meantime I'll try to mix phalancs' code into the original file(s)

seems like done ... in a newer phpwcms Version login via FE Login and some changes in the core, moving to frontend_render. Next Step might be changing this to a module,I have no backend suppport in the moment. Security is another issue, but I'll only use this behind login screen, so this doesnot scare me at this moment.

Hallo!

  • front.func.inc.php
    article.contenttype.inc.php
    cnt.form.php
    cnt.lang.inc.php
    cnt8.inc.php
    cnt53.article.inc.php
    cnt53.inc.php
    cnt53.list.inc.php
    cnt53.readform.inc.php
    cnt53.sql.inc.php
    cnt53.takeval.inc.php
    deprecated.forum.css
    forum.list.tmpl.php
    front.func.inc.php
    pdf.inc.php
    phpwcms_forum_logo.gif
    phpwcms.php
    simplepie.inc.php
    lang.inc.php
Vielleicht hilfts? Ralph

Hallo santscho
