See www.enym.com! There is a new project online! I try to reanimate the forum CP from phpwcms.

Update 16.12.06:
You can download the script on phorce.de (section: download) :)

  • If user is logged on, then his username will be saved with any postings!
  • Linebreaks now works when writing
  • Users signature is saved with post
  • Editing of topics and replies is possible
  • Deleting of topics and replies is possible
Rights set:
  • Only logged in users may post
  • Authors may edit their posts
  • Admins can edit any post
  • Only admins may delete posts/ topics
Note: This is not going to be big, I just want to test that at least some "kind" of forum is possible with what has been done earlier by oliver.

TODO list:
- editing is not possible [DONE]
- permissions [DONE]

- no paging as far as i can see [WIP]
- "notifiy me on reply" does not even think a bout working [WIP]

Ok, I am not sure if this makes sense in the long run. But consider that not much had to be changed to give this CP the basic functions a forum needs I think this is worth a try!

Your opinion?

Great that you like these efforts Oliver.

You are right when you say you don't think that phpwcms needs a big forum script.

When the following works i think i am pretty satisfied:

editing of posts
notification on replies
admins should be able to delete postings
paging

As far as I can say this is possible and I will work on that. :)

Möglicherweise hat Oliver dann ja doch wieder Lust diesen praktischen kleinen CP zu integrieren ;)
(Jedenfalls als funktionierende Interim-Lösung)

No problem - if it's working :) OK.

I have thought about building a newer one more light weight flat threaded forum - I don't like the table based phpBB-styled one anymore.

You can download the corrected file on www.phorce.de (section:download).

It is just one single file that needs to be replaced. See install.txt for info and a list of features.

Remember: As this does not include any core hacks and mods this only works if you are running a phpwcms version that still has the forum as a function implemented (I guess up to: 1.2.6).
This is not a complete forum CP but an enhanced file for the existing forum CP :)

I guess it only makes sense if you also install the userpanel, otherwise no one can use the forum cause only logged in users are allowed to post :)

Have fun.

Note: No guarantee for all this, it works for me and is by far better than no forum at all, the best thing is that is uses the phpwcms internal user management :)

Hey! Do it the regular way:

1. in backend - messages - forums - create forum
2. apply content part forum - assign created forumto his CP

done

see phpwcms-docu.de for further info

Ich finde nichts dazu. Forum ist erstellt, aber ich finde keine Möglichkeit es einzufügen....

also nochmal ganz langsam :)
