just something i thought about:
what happens with all our hacks and mods and enhancements of our favorite cms once oliver decides to release a new version? will they get lost? obsolete? or can we keep them somehow? (do i remember every single line i edited in that code?)

That is a very good point and the fact is you will have to reinstall them in most cases. This is just something we will have to accept at the moment. I am working on making a plugin system so you can load and unload plugins that you need. This way updates to phpwcms wouldn't kill the features you added. If anyone has thoughts on this please let me know.
