403 Forbidden in Flie Centre

Everything seems to be working but in the file centre I keep getting this error:
You don't have permission to access /news/phpwcms.php on this server.
when trying to create a new directory in the root.

WTF - I've exhaustively searched the forum, but to no avail. Any ideas??

wich release did you use!?
did chmod the filearchive dir to 777 ?

I'm using version 1.3.3

and filearchive folder is 777

Hi,

Folder filearchive/can_be_deleted is set to 777 ?
Folder content ist set to 777 ?
Folder content/images is set to 777 ?

The installation is running in a subdirectory called news ?

In the file center we don´t have real directorys. All is virtual storing in the db.

Mhh, permission to the file phpwcms.php in the real root all right?

I've double (triple, quadruple) checked my permissions. If I change the permissions on the phpwcms.php file to anything but 644, the server has a little meltdown and gives my a :
500 Internal Sever Error. The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

I have now moved everything to the root folder for site design reasons yet still get the error:
You don't have permission to access /phpwcms.php on this server.

I think there is a server problem using php. Have a closer look into your phpinfo.
E.g. Version of php? and so on.

Can´t see anything, only the login. And if I putin index.php a static site is comming up.
