thankx!
anyway, seems to be a really interesting marketing trick/attempt to get "valid, reliable" numbers/counts

hey, china already reaches around 15,000 pledges... :?: -oops- :!:

Firefox 3 party
what about / next step will be --> public downloading areas / party zones  :!: :?:

notice --> the "pledge now form" was displayed --> slimbox like

BTW: When will be the "Download Day"? :(

What will happen to me, if i can't keep my promise - or download twice, triply....n-times?

I downloaded and installed Firefox 3 but it wiped my latest bookmarks and installed a version of bookmarks from i don't know where, it must have been my internet explorer bookmarks that i no longer really use.

anyway this was an absolute nightmare as i have just spent the last two weeks researching companies to do business with and storing all their websites in organised folders.

After pulling my hair out looking for a back up i couldn't find one but found this way to find Firefox's backup it creates.

1 go to start-run and add this line:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
2. now select the folder of your profile, usually its only one.
3. in the folder you should find a file named "bookmarks.html" (or
bookmarks.bak), import this file to get yours bookmarks.

Hope this helps anyone else who had the same problem as me.

Regards
Ben

Hey Ben,

while hopping all your problems are solved ... this is a "Foxzilla" Problem..... same might happen if filezilla throws out new version and all account data disappeared!

Sorry to hear that m8. I can only recommend you the add-on foxmark, which I have been using for a couple weeks now and I'm thrilled. With an account (which is free btw) at foxmark you can synchronize your bookmarks with the server. Adding this add-on to any computer (in my case: home and office), you have the same bookmarks on any computer. In addition there is an web access, if you want to access your bookmarks e.g. from the internet cafe.

To my surprise FireFox 3 is working great for me. There are only three add-ons that are not running (yet). Hoping for an update within the next couple days. And amazing: over 8 million d/l within 24h! Best browser ever. :D
