Newbie looking for insight

Post by krraleigh »

I am looking for a rich text editor for my churches website that works with php. I finished all the pieces to the site and all I need now is an RTE to use in place of the textarea of my form.

Am I in the right neck of the woods?

Can I take the output from your software utility and include it in an email message using phpmail?

insight appreciated
thank you

Hi Kevin,

There is a lot you haven't told us... :D Have you created your site in phpWCMS? If so, you can set up a contact form in phpWCMS that will either send the details of the form -- in a user-defined format -- via e-mail, or it will keep all the responses in a database that can then be downloaded and read in Excel or another spreadsheet program. Pretty nice feature.

If you haven't set up your site in phpWCMS, you are probably in the wrong ballpark. I would highly recommend you use the whole CMS, but it almost sounds like you ONLY want a php form that will send mail with the response.

Is your site live yet? I'd like a look. :-)

What's up, good People?

if you search for a replacement of HTMLAREA only for your NOT phpWCMS-System - then you're definitly wrong here,
but take a look to FCKeditor http://sourceforge.net/projects/fckeditor/
or TinyMCE http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/
