Hi

I did this site for some friends of mine, what do you think guys?

http://www.ixoravilla.com

Go easy, I am still learning things.....

Not yet optimised fully yet!

And yes I am using some javascript for the cols in IE etc I may have to drop this but I really like it...

the gallery function is powered from MyGallery using the MOOSHOW RT I wrote/adapted from stuart Eaton at eat pixels.com.

Hi macmukka,

nothing to be ashamed of ("Go easy, I am still learning things..... ") on the contrary! :)
Site looks very cool, nice integration, nice use of js and moofx, nice 3 little columns layout... a perfect "mini site" if u ask me, you have my vote!
Only little thing: clicking on your links (gallery or send) is a little tricky, maybe you can fix that?

Cheers

This is in fact very beautiful!

What script are you using for the gallery?

Typography on the web is not that easy, but you made some good choices. Pitty that there are some big gaps between the words somethimes, but that's hard to control.
What I'd say: Can you move the right hand column doen slightly, so that the baselines line up? Also, let the verical rules start from the same vertial positions.

The last two sentences on the Contact page I would merge to something like : "We looking forward to hearing from you and will reply to your query as soon as possible." Will make the text block look nicer and popably sounds more smooth.

It seems like the text is flowing somehow automatically from one column into the next, How do you do that?

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. - H. Jackson Brown -

I like it - it's not a burner, but still good. No conventionel european design, good stuff...

Thanks for your comments! Nice to know I am going the right way...

The gallery script is somthing I wrote by using bits of mooshow by Stuart Eaton, it uses moofx and the mygallery mod:-

http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.p ... ht=mooshow

I am planning on rewriting it so that it doesnt use the mygallery mod, as there are lots of problems with that it seems....

I will look in to cssmania.com!

The 3 col design uses css3 for firefox/safari etc and a js script for ie6 see the article here at A list apart:-

http://www.alistapart.com/articles/css3multicolumn

I am going to look at the site again this week - with your thoughts in mind - thanks!

ps. best bit was they let me go and take the pics (some of the pics are not mine b4 anyone says and from libraries!....;-)
