How to organize fonts on windows?

Post by Jensensen »

WHY on windows I CAN'T ADD FOLDERS TO THE WIN/FONTS DIRECTORY?
This limitation is really subterraneously awful, I think!

Does anybody know any tools for font management on windows? :?:
Thank you! :!:

...perhaps this is something similar to what you are searching for?
It's mostly all about maintaining two or three customer's sites Still supporter for the band Mykket Morton. Visit Mykket Morton on FB. Listen Mykket Morton and live videos on youtube.
Now building a venue for young artists to get wet on stage, rehearsal rooms, a studio, a guitar shop - yes I'm going to build some guitars.

Thank you! Will try it... sounds good:
▪ Installation of fonts from a folder (one by one or from a list).
from a folder == of/into a folder? Let's see...
▪ Installation of fonts temporally (until the program is closed).
sounds even better.

BACKGROUND:
Think about you're working on a new layout and you need to TRY ONLY a number of more than 36 new fonts.

HOW can you efficiently try, delete, keep - manage THESE fonts?
In the end this means a lot of fiddle fummel file-by-file -- on WINDOWS === TIME CONSUMING / TIME WASTING!
UNBELIEVABLE!

I DON'T WANT to manage a list of file names ADDITIONALLY of each single, LASTLY added new font. But you'll need such a list when you want to delete a font that you don't like. This would mean: fiddle, fummel again.
I'd like to move a folder - try out - delete not wanted == GO.

I really have NO TIME to (fiddle) SEARCH FOR EACH and any ISOLATED font file in the WIN/FONTS [Stone Age] directory.
And I even don't want to remember all the file names of EACH of the TRY OUT FONTS.
But I don't want to waste the WIN/FONTS [Stone Age] directory.

Hi,

Jens. Why don't you rename your font files to XXX_font.ttf then copy them to C:\YourWinDir\Fonts.
If you want to delete them, sort your fonts by filename -> your tryout font should be on the end of the list

Good luck, Heiko...
