well frold, you are Moderator of the forum, you actually can and should do something about it. Clean up this language mess I would say
It's about time Moderators take the phpwcms Support Forum a bit more serious. If Moderators answer in German, well what do you expect?
Ok shoot me now :?

Because Im the only one that think that this forum should be unilangual - or splitted in a german and english part,... I have made many posts about that.. But OG or Pappnase doesnt support it.

So I used this post to - once again - pointing out the problem... I do that every 3 to 6 month - and will do that until we see a CLEAR separation between english and german posts. Im sure that phpwcms loose a lot of potential users on that acount.

ah ok, sorry, I thought I was alone with this too :)

I can confirm the lose of potential users ("Oh I thought it was only a German cms, that's why I didn't investigate it any further..." / "...but their forum sucks! Are you sure it's a good choice?").

This is the way to go, an 'International Zone' or 'German Zone' if you want

hello frold

every time you have the chance you post this! and it makes no sense wich topic the thread have. we have so many user who speaks two langs in this case german and english! and 2 years ago nobody knows that phpwcms will have about 4500 registerd forum members and about 58647 threads. so how you wanna split this up!? so i think this a discussion which we not need.

and also i would make no fun if i have to run to 2 different forum's to look what people have for problems. and did you really think that the double questions postings will decrease!? i don't think so.

Weak excuses only, you just don't want to get it Pappnase
I wonder what you would do as Moderator when you didn't speak German at all, like the rest of the world...

Come on guys,

you're all sensitive and intelligent persons, lets discuss this in another thread ;)

About the faq: have you posted your faq? I did some, will continue this week, it's a resource we all need and that is helpful, so go on posting! Now!

I'm  that so few pple have posted there, come on, it takes you 2 minutes for 1 FAQ. Take 10 minutes a day = 5 FAQ a day.
If 10 pple post = 5*10= 50 questions a day.
1 Week = 350 questions! wow! ;)
1 month = eeer , you don' t wanna know :D

Cheers

You know what REALLY bugs me? --> Folks like Pauli here,
you know, the -=TAKERS=-. They just come here and TAKE, not giving BACK and after being a TAKER for a while... they start to develop a false sense of "entitlement" that leads to expressing critical views and challenging the people who DO come here to GIVE back. They should clean their own house and THEN walk a few miles in Pappnase's and frold's shoes, before presuming to know what is best for this forum and it's users. THERE, that's what I think.... SHEESH

I am not one to make comments on attitude... and how people should behave... I find it a waste of time and it cannot achieve goals properly...

READ AND TAKE NOTE

Opinions are the things which make us unique... however we are all trying to get to a common goal here on this forum.

I find those users who give comments which are not CONSTRUCTIVE should STAY AWAY!

The users who have devoted TIME and EFFORT have worked long hard hours to make things a little brighter on the forum....
There are really too many to mention....

I agree that the TAKERS should just KEEP QUIET and practice their problems on others... BUT NOT HERE...

The STEP to make a FAQ has been very positive
The STEP to get to DEV 2 is very positive
The STEP by developers to create mods/hacks/repTags is positive

There are more to Mention, but lets not KILL THE REASON THIS THREAD WAS STARTED......

FAQ here we come, thanks to OG and Pappnase for getting this started...

I couldn't agree more and I BUMP this thread to invite people to post FAQ at the faq docu site, here: http://faq.phpwcms-docu.de.
  1. To all who fit in one or more of these categories (and if you're reading this you probably do):
  2. If you use phpwcms.
  3. If your happy with it.
  4. If you have ~even a little~ consideration with those who have devoted time (and more) to this.
  5. If you have made money ~even a single cent~ thanks to phpwcms.
  6. If you agree with Open Source as a way of doing things.
  7. If you have some time and don't know what to do with it.
  1. --> Do this:
  2. - check the faq site.
  3. - check the forum for common questions.
  4. - post in faq site.
Otherwise buy yourself a ready-made CMS or simply... don't complain about phpwcms.

Voilà!
Cheers

well I shut up for a while, but since you bumped this thread with you remarks about this matter, I feel free to bump too :(
"complain about phpwcms"?, never done that and never will. I just complained about the language problem on this forum, I did it before and I will again if I think it's necessary. On this thread I wanted to support frold for example. For crying out loud, just look at all the posts on this thread (the ones about only the faq). It's a language mess!
This is a forum, so I can and will say what I want and where I want, as long it belongs to the subject. So if some can't handle that, well I don't care, it's my opinion.

Off topic: what about this? http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5964 there you have a nice contribution... but no follow up? What about it?
